Location

Little Acres Lodge and Campsite, Horton Country Park, Horton Lane, Epsom, Surrey KT19 8PF

Car Park 

The Country Park has a large public car park, a field away from the site with a connecting footpath.  Direct site access is available for loading, unloading and there is limited parking. Access is via a private lane which leads to the small car park for use by leaders and disabled visitors.

Sorry no coaches: Due to the narrow lane and entrance there site access for coaches. Please note there is also a height restriction to the public car park so coaches are unable to enter.

Boundaries and security

The site gate is locked using a padlock. Please keep the gate locked if leaving the site unattended and at night. Additionally there is a post at the Horton Lane end of the lane. It is essential that the post is manned when letting anyone through and is replaced immediately

Things to do

A short walk away are various activities:  Hobbledown Children’s Farm, “Equus” Equestrian Centre for pony trekking and Horton Park Country Club with a public golf course, Jungle Island Golf and a driving range.

Epsom Town Centre is a 10 minute journey by car or bus, or approx. 30 minutes on foot, with an Odeon cinema and the Playhouse theatre.  Local swimming pools are in Epsom, Banstead and Leatherhead.

Nearby, within walking distance, is Chessington World of Adventures, with many rides, a zoo and a Go-Ape experience.

Mole Valley Orienteering have just constructed a new orienteering course around the Country Park, The course consists of Flat Parkland, consisting of fields and woodland. 22 posts, all on or near paths. Maximum course length 7km. Find out more at mvoc.org/POCs

 

    Public Transport

    Buses run from nearby Horton Lane to Epsom and from there you can travel to Kingston or further afield. Details can be found on the Surrey County Council website.

    Epsom is served by London trains from Victoria and Waterloo.  You can also reach the south coast from Epsom station by changing at Horsham, or by going direct from Surbiton.

    Supermarkets & Stores

    A good variety of supermarkets and retailers can be found in Epsom including Sainsbury’s, Lidl on the edge of town and Waitrose and Marks & Spencer in the town centre.

    There is a Tesco Local, bakery, fish and chip takeaway and pharmacy half a mile down Horton Lane going towards Ewell.

    Kingston has several supermarkets and a wide range of shops.
