Girlguiding Sections

Rainbows (5 – 7 year olds)

Rainbows learn by doing – they get their hands dirty, do sports, arts and crafts, play games and go on sleepovers. Being a Rainbow is all about having the space to try new things. Through taking part in a range of different activities with girls their own age, Rainbows develop self-confidence and make lots of new friends.

Brownies (7 – 10 year olds)

Brownies become a member of a Six and enjoy exciting challenges, are given opportunities to try new things and make brilliant friends. They work together to explore their place within their local community and the world around them. Brownies take part in crafts, challenges, adventurous activities and join in with special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and pack holidays.

Guides (10 – 14 year olds)

Guides are given many opportunities to explore their individual skills and abilities and try out new challenges as part of a team. Girls can get involved in anything from adventure sports to performing arts, travel and taking part in community action projects. As they progress through Guides they have a chance to lead small groups and support younger girls to have fun and make friends. They can even get involved in leadership opportunities. And if there’s an issue they really care about, Guides is a chance to make a difference. They are encouraged to speak out about what matters to them and to do something about it.

Rangers (14 – 18 year olds)

Rangers offers young women aged 14 to 18 unique opportunities to develop their skills and abilities through a flexible and inspiring programme usually designed by the Rangers themselves which offers a huge variety of challenges, activities and opportunities for personal development. Rangers is all about gaining valuable, transferable skills and standing up for what you believe in.

Trefoil Guild (18+)

The Trefoil Guild is for women and men aged 18+ to make new friends, travel, explore, serve their communities and help Girlguiding (and Scouting) thrive across the UK! For more information please visit: https://www.trefoilguild.co.uk/
